Most people who hang around City Hall or work in the Dallas press long enough will eventually be subjected to Richard Sheridan. In the guise of battling for civil rights, he spews every kind of bile. Over the years, I’ve gotten a few borderline threatening messages from him along the lines of what Dan Koller at People Newspapers has been writing about recently. The operative response for most of us is to ignore him until he goes away. That became impossible today. Sheridan’s most common target is the gay community. And today at City Council, he did something that might have consequences.
