Anoka-Hennepin School Board Offers Second Revised Policy

Officials in the Anoka-Hennepin School District on Monday introduced an alternative to the policy that requires teachers to remain "neutral" on matters relating to LGBT people. The new policy asks staffers to be "neutral" during discussions of "controversial issues," including politics, religion, social or economic issues, but also "to affirm the dignity and self-worth of all students regardless" of a number of factors, including sexual orientation.
