The American Family Association of Michigan and its supporters in Jackson will work to keep a proposed gay rights ordinance from being passed in Jackson, the leader of the organization says. “The American Family Association will support pro-family leaders in Jackson in ensuring that a discriminatory homosexual and cross-dressing ‘rights’ ordinance is not enacted into law without a vote of the people,” Gary Glenn, president of the American Family Association of Michigan, wrote in an email to the Citizen Patriot. The Midland-based organization is a leading opponent of gay rights.
