NH House Rejects Bill Aimed at Repealing Marriage Equality

On Wednesday New Hampshire lawmakers rejected a bill that would have made their state the first to repeal a marriage equality law through legislation -- a move opposed by Democratic Gov. John Lynch.

The Republican-controlled House voted 211-116 on Monday to kill the bill that would have repealed the 2-year-old law and restored a law that allowed civil unions in 2008 and 2009.

Georgia's own 'license to discriminate' bill dies at the end of the legislative session

The Georgia legislative session ended without passing a bill that would have legalized discrimination against the LGBT community. Much like Indiana and Arkansas, Georgia was considering a 'license to discriminate' bill. It had already passed the Georgia Senate, and was then tabled by the House Judiciary Committee.
