In the early morning hours, a group of youth gathered in Laguna Hills, California, to let people know that there are better dining options for LGBT equality then the newly opening Chick-fil-a restaurant. Youth from the Youth Empowered to Act (YETA) distributed fliers to inform potential customers of Chick-fil-a’s donations to anti-LGBT organizations and political statements. They also offered suggestions for alternatives to Chick-fil-a.

The Boy Scouts of America have rejected an application for a scouting troop sponsored by a Utah gay rights organization. After spending four months preparing a proposal to adhere to Scouts’ standards, Utah Pride Center officials said a local representative from the Boy Scouts’ Great Salt Lake Council returned the entire application intact four days later— including the business cards they had given him.
