Producers of the Dr. Oz Show framed their program on so-called reparative therapy in a way that provided a lengthy platform for junk science, and a NARTH representative was introduced by Dr. Oz as an “expert” and spoke to countless parents and youth in the audience, as if NARTH’s work and practices represent legitimate and acceptable medical practices.

Nominations for the 2013 People’s Choice Awards were announced yesterday and voting is now open to decide the winners. Glee scored big in TV with a leading five nominations between the series and cast and Modern Family followed closely behind with four nods. Of the five actors nominated for Favorite Comedic TV Actor, four are openly gay. A wide range of LGBT-inclusive programs also picked up nominations.
