Ricky Martin gets GLAAD

Ricky Martin was honored at the 23rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards held last night in New York City. The Puerto Rican singer and newly minted Evita star took home the Spanish-Language Outstanding Music Artist award for his album, Música + Alma + Sexo.

Although Martin skipped the celebrity-studded event, he expressed his thanks for the award, tweeting “Last night I won a @Glaad award! I am honored and thankful and would like to dedicate it to #DanielZamudio and his family #Chile.”

El FBI y Departamento de Justicia Capacitarán a Autoridades Puertorriqueñas para Manejar Crímenes de Odio

A casi un año de que GLAAD y otros instaron al Presidente Obama y a los medios a tratar los asesinatos de personas LGBT en Puerto Rico, el Departamento de Justicia ha confirmado que realizará talleres de capacitación para autoridades puertorriqueña para manejar los crímenes de odio.
