GLAAD responds to no condemnation, no word of welcome for LGBT people from Pope Francis

GLAAD, the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) media advocacy organization, expressed a mix of disappointment and hopefulness in Pope Francis' lack of explicit welcoming messages for the thousands of LGBT people who followed his trip to the United States.

GLAAD set to join LGBT Catholic leaders at White House reception for Pope Francis

The White House has extended an invitation for GLAAD and LGBT Catholic leaders to attend the White House reception for Pope Francis. Ross Murray, GLAAD's Director of Programs, will be representing the organization at the ceremony which will welcome Pope Francis before the Pope and President Obama meet privately.
