Yesterday GLAAD announced the nominees for its 25th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, and several of the nominees are about out LGBT athletes as the mainstream media is paying more attention to the changing culture in professional sports, more high-profile athletes are coming out, and events like the Olympic games in Sochi are throwing a spotlight on global treatment of LGBT people.
