Level Ground is an organization dedicated to starting dialogues through art about faith and the LGBT community, with the goal of demonstrating that the two are not in opposition to one another, as they are so often depicted. With this in mind, last year the organization hosted its very first film festival, screening faith-oriented LGBT films and sparking discussions around religious messages about the LGBT community at Fuller Theological Seminary.
MTV has been one of the biggest supporters of Spirit Day this year, spreading the message of tolerance. The network and tons of its top musical and entertainment icons have gone purple in a show of solidarity with its young LGBT fans, letting them know that they are not alone.
