All signs point to a Senate vote on the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) this afternoon. Yesterday, GLAAD partnered with Google+ to host a hangout in order to discuss ENDA, what it means for people, and what its prospects are after the Senate.
The White House released a statement from President Barack Obama, praising Illinois for passing marriage equality. Obama, a former Illinois State legislator, expressed his appreciation to the Illinois lawmakers who passed the measure, as well as congratulated the LGBT citizens of Illinois who will now be granted marriage equality.
This month's cover of Sports Illustrated features Red Sox player and World Series MVP David Ortiz with three officers who responded to the bombing at the Boston Marathon. The Dallas Voice reported that one of those officers, Javier Pagan, was gay and Boston Police Department’s liaison to the GLBT community.
