Interview with "Old Scout" and son en route to Boy Scouts vote

David "Old Scout" McGrath, a former army intelligence officer, and his son Joe, who returned from a year-long deployment in Kuwait on April 15th, are currently biking the 1,800 miles from their home in Idaho Falls to the Boy Scouts of America's (BSA) headquarters in Irving, Texas to urge the Boy Scouts to support a non-discriminatory policy for gay members and leaders.

GLAAD Joins Zach Wahls and Scouts for Equality at San Francisco City Hall Rally to Bring Equality to the Boy Scouts of America

GLAAD was on the ground in San Francisco with Scouts for Equality (SFE) at a City Hall rally to urge the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) to vote in favor of dropping the BSA's ban on gay youth. Rallies were held today in over 30 cities for supporters to urge their local BSA councils to support an end to the ban on gay youth.

Scouts for Equality is gathering together concerned current and former Scouts, parents, potential Scouting parents, Scouting leaders and volunteers, and their supporters to urge their local Boy Scout council to vote in favor of dropping the Boy Scouts of America's (BSA) anti-gay ban on youth members.
