That’s what happened to Bikes N’ Roses, a neighborhood charity that fixes bicycles for kids and trains them how to fix bikes on their own.
In the city’s primary on Tuesday, openly gay state Senator Ed Murray emerged the biggest vote-getter in the five-person field, with more than 30% of the vote. Incumbent Mike McGinn came in second with 27% of the vote.
On Friday, August 9, the University of North Carolina's Board of Governors will vote on a policy that would ban gender-neutral housing at all seventeen UNC campuses, and threaten the safety and well-being of trans and gender non-conforming students living there.
