The Bureau of General Services – Queer Division is holding a continuous fundraiser from July 26 through September 13 in efforts to keep this valuable queer resource available to New York City.
This weekend, the highly anticipated Gaymer X convention will finally take place in San Francisco; just under a year since it made headlines for a wildly successful Kickstarter campaign that brought in nearly four times its original goal. Gaymer X will be the first LGBT gaming convention focused on queer gamer culture, and is being staged in SF's Japan Town district on August 3rd and 4th.
Though he's still relatively unknown in America, comedian Josh Thomas has already made quite a name for himself back in his home country of Australia for his award-winning standup and acclaimed TV comedy series 'Please Like Me.' Now thanks to the newly-launched Pivot TV network, American audiences will get a chance to check out Josh's brand of clever/awkward comedy for themselves starting tonight. GLAAD spoke with Josh in advance of his show's premiere.

TV Land's comedy The Soul Man will feature Rev. Boyce (Cedric the Entertainer) marrying a lesbian couple in tonight's episode, "Bride & Prejudice," airing on TV Land at 11 pm ET/PT.
Popular Mexican rock band Molotov's today decided to remove the anti-gay slur "maricón" from its 1997 song "Puto" during this summer's Jägermeister Music Tour. Along with removing "maricón," from the "matarile al maricón" lyric, the band will introduce the song during the tour with a message of support for LGBT people. The band will be donating some of the tour's proceeds to LGBT organizations and to help Esteban Navarro, the young victim of a recent anti-gay attack in Chile.
I had high expectations for The Fosters when it debuted on ABC Family in June, the first mainstream drama to focus on same-sex parents and their kids. I’m happy to say it more than met those expectations, while also throwing in a few pleasant surprises. The show has meant a lot to me as a lesbian mom -- and to many others as well. I therefore invite you to join me, the Family Equality Council, and GLAAD this week by tweeting about what the show has meant to you.
