The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced this Wednesday the nominees for the 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards. Among the nominees are many LGBT-inclusive shows, which feature some of the most prominent out characters and personalities in daytime television.

This morning Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Sutton Foster announced the 67th Annual Tony Award nominations from The New York Public Library for Performing Arts. Playwright and civil rights advocate Larry Kramer will receive the Isabelle Stevenson award at this year's Tony Awards to be broadcast live on CBS on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at 8:00pm ET. Several LGBT-inclusive plays and musicals were also nominated for Tony honors, with Cyndi Lauper and Harvey Fierstein's Kinky Boots leading the pack with 13 nominations.

Last week marked the festival premiere of Bridegroom, the long-awaited documentary recounting the love story of Shane Bitney Crone and his partner Tom Bridegroom. Former President Bill Clinton introduced the film at the premiere and, this past weekend, the documentary ended its Tribeca run by receiving the Heineken Audience Award.
