Today, a New Jersey judge ruled that so-called "ex-gay" programs can't represent that being LGBT is a disorder in marketing materials. This is a part of a lawsuit that "ex-gay" survivors and the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) have against the Jewish "ex-gay" program, Jews Offering New Alternatives for Healing (JONAH).
A new study, to be published in the February issue of Psychological Science, finds that transgender children are fully capable of understanding what gender means, as well as their personal gender identities.
The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals denied the state of Alabama’s request to extend a stay in two federal court rulings in favor of the freedom to marry. This means that the stay will expire on February 9th and same-sex couples in Alabama will subsequently be able to marry.
