Catholic Cardinal Timothy Dolan, President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, and Archbishop of New York continues to preach anti-LGBT sermons despite the spike in anti-LGBT violence within his own diocese. New York has witnessed twice as many anti-LGBT hate crimes this year than in 2012. Cardinal Dolan calls the attention of Catholic priests nationwide to speak out against marriage equality, which he describes as the "Roe v. Wade of marriage."

NYC LGBT Activist Is Victim Of Anti-Gay Crime

On May 24th, just a week after speaking at a vigil in honor of Mark Carson, Eugene Lovendusky became a victim of another anti- gay hate crime in New York City's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood. Eugene's attack is the ninth anti-LGBT attack for the month of May and the 27th since the start of the New Year.
