Maven Pictures’ Celine Rattray and Trudie Styler have acquired The Making Of Rock Hudson, a script by Tyler Ruggeri about the transformation of a young Midwesterner into a legendary movie star. Hudson hid the fact that he was gay for decades, before revealing in the 1980s that he was living with AIDS.
Director David France and founder of Treatment Action Group (TAG) Peter Staley were presented with the Outstanding Documentary award by Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey) at the GLAAD Media Awards in New York on Saturday night for 'How to Survive a Plague.'

Filmmaker Anne Clements in conjunctions with GaymerConnect, the first convention dedicated to LGBT gaming culture, is using Kickstarter to fund the production of a documentary titled Gayming in Color: Queers and Gaymers of the Pixelated World. The documentary will explore LGBTQ presence in the gaming community, and tell the story of the creators of GaymerConnect.
On March 16, Hollywood director Brett Ratner will receive the Ally Award at the 24th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York. Attendees will get an exclusive look at a public service announcement campaign helmed by Ratner. The GLAAD 'Coming Out for Equality' PSA series features a diverse group of straight celebrities and athletes "coming out of the closet" as supporters of equality and calling for other Americans to speak out.
