NBC Sports has pledged to expose Russia’s anti-gay “propaganda” law during its exclusive coverage of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Stochi. Since the law’s passage on June 10, however, NBC’s news programming has almost completely ignored the controversy surrounding the measure, raising concerns about their willingness to report on the law during the event next February.
The upcoming 11th season of CBS' Two and a Half Men will see Amber Tamblyn appearing in a recurring role as Jenny, the long-lost daughter of the now deceased Charlie Harper (Charlie Sheen). Series creator Chuck Lorre has confirmed to E! that Jenny is bisexual, saying, "The idea that she loves women seems to be something that just felt right."
A new play, The Anointed, was written for the African-American, religious, and spiritual communities about the intersection between spirituality and sexuality, the struggles associated within this reconciliation, and also to bring healing to many individuals within the African-American community who have endured similar experiences.
The 17th Annual New York International Fringe Festival – playing various locations in downtown Manhattan from August 9 to 25 – features 185 different shows, roughly three dozen of which include lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender characters and/or subject matter.
