Award recipients for the 3rd Annual Critics' Choice Television Awards have been announced and several LGBT characters and inclusive series picked up awards.
Last night Neil Patrick Harris hosted the 67th annual Tony Awards, recognizing excellence in Broadway Theater. Following an opening number that featured a cameo by retired boxer Mike Tyson singing along Harris, Cyndi Lauper and Harvey Fierstein’s Kinky Boots received awards in six categories, including Best Musical while playwright and LGBT activist Larry Kramer accepted the Isabelle Stevenson Award.
