The 2002-2003 Television Season: Recurring Roles

Recurring lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender characters in original, primetime broadcast, and cable programming for the 2002-2003 television season include:

	Sex and the City situation comedy HBO, Sundays, 9:00 pm http://www.hbo.com/city Stanford (Willie Garson) is Carrie's gay friend and confidant, while Charlotte's friend Anthony (Mario Cantone) livens up her life. Samantha (Kim Cattrall) has dated both men and women.
	Other gay and lesbian characters occasionally appear on Friends, The Simpsons, and South Park. However, their presence is relatively minor.
