Trans*Pride is a pride event organized by Gender Justice League in affiliation with Seattle Out & Proud and fiscally sponsored by Gay City Health Project. It will be held in conjunction with other annual LGBTQ pride events in June, and will take place Friday June 28th, 2013.
Trans* Pride will include a Trans*Pride march, a schedule of nationally renowned speakers from the trans community including a keynote address by Julia Serano, author of Whipping Girl: A Transsexual Woman on Sexism and the Scapegoating of Femininity, performances by out trans entertainers Ian Harvie & Rae Spoon, and an information & resource fair with oragnizations that serve and support trans and gender non-conforming people.
The Trans*Pride march will include community members that identify as trans*, along with friends, families, co-workers, and other allies. The purpose of the march and rally is to raise awareness and support for the trans* community and to elevate the challenges faced by trans* and gender non-conforming people in Seattle and more broadly in Washington State, the United States, and Internationally.

5:00pm – 6:00pm – Assemble in Front of Seattle Central Community College at E. Howell & Broadway St.
6:00pm – 7:00pm – March to Cal Anderson Park
7:00pm – 8:00pm – Keynote by Julia Serano, Speeches and Call to Action
8:00pm – 9:30pm – Performances
10:00pm – 1:00am – Official Trans*Pride After Party Dance! Poetry Slam & More at Various Venues!
