The Black LGBT community is widely considered to be the least organized and politically active. The time has come for our community to stand up and re-stake our claim in the collective fight for social and economic justice. This workshop will help attendees become familiar with and improve their existing advocacy skills around grassroots organizing in the Black LGBT community.
Presenters: Dr. Cathy Cohen, Black Youth Project; Earl Fowlkes, President, International Federation of Black Prides, Washington, DC; Sharon Lettman, Executive Director, National Black Justice Coalition; Rashad Robinson, Executive Director, Color of Change
