Vote for Spirit Day Founder Brittany McMillan in Seventeen’s #PrettyAmazing Contest
Brittany McMillan is pretty amazing.
At just 15, Brittany ignited a national movement in support of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth when she started Spirit Day. What began in 2010 as a Tumblr page devoted to the memory of LGBT or LGBT-perceived teens who lost their lives to suicide, turned into a global event that inspires millions of people to wear purple each year in a stand against bullying.
Now, Seventeen Magazine has chosen Brittany as a finalist in its 'Pretty Amazing' scholarship contest.
But she needs your votes to win!
If selected, Brittany will appear on the October cover of Seventeen (just in time for Spirit Day!) and receive a $20,000 scholarship. Help thank Brittany for her service to the LGBT community by voting at www.glaad.org/votebrittany:
