In June, New Jersey couple Brian Edwards and Tom Privitere found that their engagement photo had been used in an anti-gay attack ad in Colorado by Eugene A. Delgaudio and the organization he runs, the Public Advocate of the United States. The ad was an attempt to make Tom and Brian look scary. The problem is, Tom and Brian are not scary. Brian wrote the following reflection that demonstrates how "not scary" they are as a couple.
GLAAD was first to release video footage from 1994 of Presidential candidate Mitt Romney saying: "I support the right of the Boy Scouts of America to decide what it wants to do on that issue. I feel that all people should be able to participate in the Boy Scouts regardless of their sexual orientation." According to an Associated Press article that ran today, Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul confirmed that “this remains Romney’s position today.”
