Websites go purple for #spiritday

Over 50 media companies, tv channels, shows and magazines signed on to support Spirit Day this year, reaching millions with the message that bullying of lgbt youth or any other group deemed different or vulnerable will not be tolerated. Some tinted their twitter and facebook pages purple; some tweeted words of encouragement and pictures in purple shirts, sweaters or accessorites.
