Spirit Day Ambassador and syndicated daytime talk show host Wendy Williams spoke about the importance of #SpiritDay on today's "Wendy Williams Show." Even Wendy's audience took part by wearing purple in a stand against bullying! Check out video of the show below!

This marks the second consecutive year Wendy has taken part in #SpiritDay by going purple. Wendy also appeared at the 23rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York earlier this year!

Hosts of the Today Show, Good Morning America, LIVE with Kelly and Michael (featuring guest Michelle Obama) and hosts on CNBC, CBS, CNN and MSNBC were also wearing purple on the air this morning.

You too can get involved by downloading GLAAD’s Spirit Day resource kit, which contains tools to help turn your community purple in a stand against bullying. Spirit Day participants can also spread the word by telling their friends that they’re going purple on 10/19. Or, you can text PURPLE to 80888 to donate $5 to support the important work GLAAD,GLSEN and The Trevor Project do every day to end bullying and support LGBT youth.
