WATCH: New Promo for ABC Family's New Drama 'The Fosters'

ABC Family’s new drama The Fosters, from executive producer Jennifer Lopez and creators Bradley Bredeweg and Peter Paige (Queer as Folk), about a “multi-ethnic family mix of foster and biological kids being raised by two moms” has shared a new, exclusive promo with GLAAD focusing on the relationship between long-time partners and moms, Stef Foster (Teri Polo) and Lena Adams (Sherri Saum). Check out the sneak peek below!

The series, which premieres on ABC Family on Monday, June 3 at 9:00 pm ET/PT, centers around police officer Stef and her partner, school Vice Principal Lena, as they raise Stef’s biological son from her previous marriage, Brandon, and the two children they’ve adopted together, Jesus and Mariana. Their already-full household will be disrupted when Lena brings home troubled foster child Callie, and when Stef is partnered at work with her ex-husband (much to Lena’s displeasure).

Teri and Sherri will be in attendance at the GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles this Saturday, April 20 at the JW Marriott.  Sign up now to watch the livestream of these two actors and other celebrity LGBT advocates and GLAAD supporters walk down the red carpet. Michael Riley, ABC Family President, noted that the hour-long drama perfectly merges with the network’s “groundbreaking storytelling and iconic characters” and will feature “the same depth, heart, close relationships and authenticity that our viewers have come to expect.”

The Fosters will join several other LGBT-inclusive series on ABC Family, including Pretty Little Liars, which features out couple Emily Fields and Paige McCullers (Shay Mitchell, Lindsay Shaw). Additionally, The Secret Life of the American Teenager recently featured a late-in-life coming out story for Anne Juergens (Molly Ringwald), as well as recurring out characters Nora Underwood (Anne Ramsay) and Anne’s girlfriend Willadean (Diane Farr).  ABC Family is one of only two networks to have ever received an "excellent" score in GLAAD's Network Responsibility Index, which measures the quality and quantity of LGBT-inclusive programming on television.

Don't miss the series premiere of The Fosters on ABC Family on Monday, June 3 at 9:00 pm ET/PT and check out Teri and Sherri on the GLAAD Media Awards red carpet Saturday, April 20 at 5:30 pm PT.
