TIME Magazine is putting together the annual TIME 100 list of the most influential people of the year worldwide and you get to have a say! While the list is ultimately chosen by the editors, TIME is seeking input in the TIME 100 reader poll where you can vote for your most influential person. Actress, producer, transgender advocate and Stephen F. Kolzak Award recipient Laverne Cox is currently at 4 in the reader poll, just one spot behind Lady Gaga (at the time of writing). You can vote for Laverne now until the TIME 100 reader poll closes at 11:59pm on April 22, the official TIME 100 list will be revealed on April 24.

Cox was honored with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award at the 25th Annual GLAAD Media Awards this past Saturday in Los Angeles, her award was presented by out, Academy Award-nominated actress Ellen Page. During her acceptance, Cox called attention to trans people who have experienced discrimination and been largely ignored by the mainstream media, particularly Monica Jones, a trans woman of color who was recently arrested and convicted for walking while trans. Cox's mother Gloria was also on hand to surprise her daughter on stage in an adorable moment.
