Russell Simmons and LaLa Anthony took the stage to present Outstanding Film – Limited Release at the 23rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards. Before announcing the nominees, both Simmons and Anthony took action and voiced their support and solidarity. You guys are my heroes.”
The award was presented to Pariah. Nekisa Cooper, Adepero Oduye and Kim Wayans accepted the award on stage together. Cooper, the film’s producer, was humbled by the honor in her acceptance speech. Cooper also thanked the other nominees for telling these important stories.
