Last Saturday, John Stamos took the stage at the GLAAD Media Awards in New York to introduce this year’s recipient of the Vito Russo Award, Craig Zadan and Neil Meron (Chicago, Hairpsray, Smash).  “Craig and Neal did cast me in my very first gay role which was Wedding Wars about marriage equality,” said Stamos.  “They were really ahead of their curve with that one and I really did learn a lot from that part and it actually changed my perspective forever.”  The Vito Russo Award is presented annually to openly LGBT media professionals who have made a significant difference in promoting equality.
