Video: Jinkx Monsoon Performs Sondheim at the #glaadawards

It was monsoon season at the GLAAD Media Awards in San Francisco this past Saturday as RuPaul's Drag Race season 5 winner Jinkx Monsoon took the stage to a roaring crowd!

America's newly crowned drag superstar performed "The Ladies in Drag," a parody of Stephen Sondheim's "The Ladies Who Lunch" from the Tony Award winning musical Company.  Jinkx's performance ended in a standing ovation from the crowd.  Take a look at Jinkx's performance which premiered on LOGO's NewNowNext.

 

Also at the event, Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom received the Golden Gate Award.  International pop star Adam Lambert received the Davidson/Valentini Award. Additional awards were announced on March 16 in New York City and in Los Angeles on April 20.

The 24th Annual GLAAD Media Awards were presented nationally by Ketel One and Wells Fargo, and presented locally in San Francisco by Southwest Airlines.
