UCLA's University Catholic Center reaches across campus to create "It Gets Better" video

The University Catholic Center at UCLA has produced a video for the "It Gets Better" campaign. The University Catholic Center is a university-based Catholic congregation welcoming students from all faiths. The University Catholic Center has a variety of ministries, including social justice and St. Vincent de Paul to help those in need. They are an example of a welcoming and affirming church.

To create the It Gets Better video, the University Catholic Center reached out across the UCLA and greater Los Angeles area to feature LGBT individuals, couples, parents and allies. The video highlights the tremendous importance of faith to the Catholic LGBT community, but the participants in the video come from a wide range of faith traditions.

The incredibly well done piece demonstrates that there are many LGBT Catholics and allies who support the LGBT community. The University Catholic Center is one such place that wanted to take a stand, and did so in a very moving way.
