The casts of morning shows Un Nuevo Día on Telemundo and Satcha Pretto of Despierta América on Univision are among Spanis-language media hosts rocking purple today to send a message of support for LGBT youth and against bullying. These messages are important and uplifting to the many LGBT youth who can often feel so alone. Iconic talk show host Cristina Saralegui is a Spirit Day Ambassador and has turned her Facebook page purple as well as her Twitter feed and has already sent dozens of messages of support in both English and Spanish. Ricky Martin has been very supportive and involved, as always. Armando Correa, editor of People en Español, DJ Enrique Santos and many other media personalities tweeted messages of support, turned their twitter profiles purple and wore purple. More updates throughout the day. The U.S. Department of Justice reports that every 7 minutes a student is bullied.
