Kat Graham speaks out in support of gay Scouts mom on Ellen
‘Vampire Diaries’ star and recording artist Kat Graham spoke out in support of Ohio mom Jennifer Tyrrell, who was ousted as leader of her son’s Boy Scouts troop simply because she’s gay. Over 280,000 people have signed Jennifer’s Change.org petition calling on the Scouts to end its long history of discrimination against gay scouts and LGBT leaders. CTAM teams up with GLAAD to bring LGBT entertainment to cable viewers
In honor of Pride Month, CTAM (the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing) is partnering with GLAAD to facilitate access to LGBT-inclusive entertainment content for cable subscribers. From now through the end of June, CTAM is celebrating diversity by spotlighting LGBT programming on cable television’s On Demand services. Read more.

Talking about equality in Spanish-language media
GLAAD’s Director of Spanish-Language Media, Monica Trasandes, was interviewed on several programs recently to speak on LGBT representation in Spanish-language media, as well as a variety of other LGBT-related topics. Monica appeared in such outlets as Spanish-language radio station KPCC, Noticiero Telemundo, Fox News Latino, and CNN en Español.
