Singer and 'American Idol' runner-up Crystal Bowersox comes out as bisexual

Singer Crystal Bowersox, a former American Idol contestant who made it to runner-up during the show's ninth season in 2010, came out as bisexual in an appearance on Good Day L.A. where she was promoting her new song, "Coming Out for Christmas."

"I have been bisexual as long as I can remember," Bowersox said during her interview and confirmed through her Twitter.

This September GLAAD supported Celebrate Bisexuality Day by breaking some harmful myths about bisexuality and we encourage media and members of the community all-year-long to be wary of stereotypes and remember that all identities are legitimate and should be respected.
