An LGBTQ club was denied its charter this week at Point Loma Nazarene University, a conservative Christian college in San Diego, CA.
Marriage equality is now a reality in Washington State. Some couples married right at midnight, vying to be the first couple married under Washington’s new marriage equality law. Emily and Sarah Cofer of Arlington were the first couple married in the state, as they were pronounced legally wed at 12:04 AM this morning.
Gay and lesbian couples in Washington can start applying for and obtaining marriage licenses at 12:01 AM on December 6. Washington Governor Christine Gregoire will certify the November 6 election results today, December 5, in order to begin the process of releasing marriage licenses to all couples.
