MPAA Changes Bully Rating to PG-13, Film Can be Screened in Schools

Following its initial theatrical release as an unrated feature, the documentary Bully has been given a rating of PG-13 from the Motion Picture Association of America, which will allow children under 17 to buy a ticket without parental permission and for the film to be screened in schools as an educational tool.

Jenna Talackova Calls for a More Inclusive Miss Universe Competition

Following the announcement that the Miss Universe Organization would allow transgender contestant Jenna Talackova to compete, and that GLAAD would be working with Miss Universe to open the pageant up to the trans community, Talackova says she wants pageant owner Donald Trump to make sure “no one else has to suffer the discrimination I have had to endure.”

Lesbian Comedian Kate McKinnon Joins Saturday Night Live, According to Report

After 37 years on the air, NBC mainstay Saturday Night Live may add its first openly lesbian cast member on next weekend’s show. Upright Citizen’s Brigade and Big Gay Sketch Show alum Kate McKinnon will reportedly make her debut as a featured player on the next new episode, airing April 7.
