This week in New York, the five major broadcast networks previewed their upcoming fall seasons for advertisers, and gave us all an idea of what the 2012-2013 broadcast television season will look like. Following yesterday's show of support for ousted Boy Scout mom Jennifer Tyrrell, more celebrities have joined the call for the Boy Scouts of America to end their ban on gay scouts and scout leaders, including Ricky Martin, Wendi McLendon Covey, Perez Hilton, Rita Wilson, Kelly Osbourne, Lisa Lampanelli, and Darryl Stephens.
As Mother’s Day approaches this weekend, celebrities like Julianne Moore, Fran Drescher, Jane Leeves, and Sean Maher have joined GLAAD and countless others in showing their support for ousted Boy Scout mom Jennifer Tyrrell, and asking the Boy Scouts of America to end their ban on gay scouts and scout leaders.
Much like President Obama's own position, the latest polls show the country on a whole continues to progressively evolve in its recognition of same-sex relationships, and as Vice President Joe Biden himself has admitted, television programs and popular culture can take quite a bit of the credit.
