This June, many cities around the United States will be hosting Black and Latino Gay Prides--and will continue to carry on the celebration of the LGBT movement throughout the year.
Yesterday, GLAAD and several other LGBT, civil rights, faith and labor organizations held a press conference at the historic Stonewall Inn to rally together against New York’s “Stop and Frisk” policy and to announce joint support for the June 17th silent march against police harassment.
On Saturday night at the 23rd GLAAD Media Awards in San Francisco, Janet Mock, noted author, trans advocate and editor of People.com, joined GLAAD in calling for a meeting with staff members of The New York Times to discuss transgender issues.
