Kyrsten Sinema Strengthens Lead, Will Become First Bisexual Federal Lawmaker
Arizona State Representative Kyrsten Sinema will become the first bisexual federal lawmaker in the nation's history. Sinema has expanded her lead in her race for the U.S. Congress to the point where it will be insurmountable for her opponent, Vernon Parker, reports Associated Press.
Sinema held a slim lead the day after Election Day, and as the votes continued to be counted, her lead only got stronger. Sinema's now-confirmed victory adds to what was already a historic day for LGBT issues and individuals at the polls.
