Kristin Beck to speak at transgender conference, Southern Comfort, in Atlanta

On September 4 through 8, the 24th annual Southern Comfort Conference will be held at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Southern Comfort Conference, or SCCATL, is described as "the largest transgender social, educational, and entertainment conference in the world," with vendors, entertainers, and presenters who specifically cater to the needs and interests of the transgender community. The conference has earned a reputation over its twenty-four year history as a safe space for LGBT people, and is welcoming of everyone who identifies as part of the diverse transgender community. Allies, family members, and others connected to the transgender community are also welcome to register for SCCATL.

Among many other distinguished presenters, Kristin Beck, former Navy SEAL, transgender advocate, and author of the book Warrior Princess, will be speaking at this year's SCCATL.
