Contrary to the will of the majority of Virginians, state-licensed adoption agencies will soon be able to legally discriminate against prospective adoptive and foster parents on the basis of sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, religion, political belief and family status. Meanwhile, nearly 6,000 Virginia children live in foster care.
