Full Schedule Set for Outfest Fusion LGBT People of Color Film Festival

The schedule for the Outfest Fusion LGBT People of Color Film Festival was announced yesterday. Fusion 2013 will be held in Los Angeles on Friday and Saturday, March 22 and 23 with films playing at both the Egyptian Theatre and the REDCAT Theatre. Tickets are available here.

The GLAAD Media Award-nominated drama Mosquita y Mari will be screened at Fusion on Saturday, March 23. From out director Aurora Guerrero, the film follows two Chicana high school girls in Los Angeles whose intimate friendship challenges their ideas of identity. Watch the trailer below.

The 19th Annual GLAAD Media Award recipient The DL Chronicles (Outstanding TV Movie or Mini-Series) will return with new episodes. The series, which first aired in 2007 on Here! TV, follows the lives of four gay or bisexual men of color who hide their sexual orientation from family and friends. As part of the same program, attendees will see a sneak preview of director Doug Spearman's (Noah's Arc) upcoming comedy, Hot Guys with Guns.

Famed poet and out LGBT advocate Audre Lorde will be profiled in the film Audre Lorde: The Berlin Years which includes never-before-seen archives revealing her private life and the passion she had for her work.
