Film festival brings pro-LGBT voices of faith on Level Ground

Level Ground is an organization dedicated to starting dialogues through art about faith and the LGBT community, with the goal of demonstrating that the two are not in opposition to one another, as they are so often depicted. With this in mind, last year the organization hosted its very first film festival, screening faith-oriented LGBT films and sparking discussions around religious messages about the LGBT community at Fuller Theological Seminary. The festival also hosted discussion panels which included Academy Award winners Dustin Lance Black (Milk) and Roger Ross Williams (God Loves Uganda).

This year, the organization is expanding the festival beyond the Fuller Seminary community- the only one of its kind - with more films, screenings, panelists and art exhibits.  The festival will take place from February 20 to March 2, 2014 in Pasadena, CA, and Level Ground is currently raising funds via Indiegogo to help with costs.
