Drew Barrymore to Host 24th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles #glaadawards

The 24th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles is taking place next Saturday, April 20, and will boast an impressive line-up of stars including host Drew Barrymore. The ceremony, presented nationally by Ketel One Vodka and Wells Fargo, and locally by Delta Air Lines, will also welcome Grammy Award-winning recording artist, Kelly Rowland to the stage for a live performance. Marc Malkin, E! Online's Senior Editor/Writer, broke the news this evening.

In 2010, Drew Barrymore was honored with the Vanguard Award at the 21st Annual GLAAD Media Awards. Check out her acceptance speech below!

This year, GLAAD is proud to honor former President Bill Clinton with the Advocate for Change Award, and entertainment attorney Steve Warren will receive the Stephen F. Kolzak Award at this year's event. Other presenters and attendees include: Leonardo DiCaprio, Charlize Theron, Jennifer Lawrence, Tobey Maguire, Matt Bomer, Alex Pettyfer, Elle Fanning, Betty White, Chris Evans, Mary Steenburgen, Ted Danson, Diane Kruger, and Joshua Jackson.

The GLAAD Media Awards recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the LGBT community and the issues that affect their lives. They also fund GLAAD's work to amplify stories from the LGBT community that build support for equality.  Each year, the GLAAD Media Awards in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco bring together more than 5,000 advocates and allies to raise critical funds for the organization's work.
