CeCe McDonald on the Alicia Menendez Show

CeCe McDonald appeared on the Alicia Menendez Show on the new Fusion Network to talk about what she's up to now and the challenges facing transwomen of color. CeCe was incarcerated after fighting back and surviving a racist, transphobic attack in Minnesota in June 2011. During the altercation her attacker was killed and CeCe was facing 40 years in prison. She had to take a plea deal but not without a swell of outrage and support from the LGBT community and allies. Her case put a spotlight on transphobia and systemic racism in the criminal justice system.
