Cast of Degrassi Wearing Their Spirit Day Purple with Pride

The big cast of Teen Nick's hit show Degrassi has gone above and beyond for Spirit Day this year, sharing a ton of photos of cast members in their favorite purple duds.

Fans already appreciate the show's great depiction of LGBT youth, which has garnered it three GLAAD Media Award nominations.  The groundbreaking storyline of Adam - currently TV's only transgender regular character - was also recently nominated for an Emmy and won the prestigious Peabody award.  It should come as no surprise to see so many of its cast members proudly donning purple for Spirit Day to show their support for LGBT youth and stand up against bullying.  Check out the gallery below:
