The 2013 Outfest Los Angeles LGBT Film Festival wrapped up yesterday and awards were handed out to some of the best new LGBT films. Among the recipients was Bridegroom, the story of discrimination faced by Shane Bitney Crone in the wake of his partner's death. The film received the Audience Award for Outstanding Documentary Feature Film.

Test, the HIV/AIDS drama set in the world of dance in 1980s San Francisco, which was acquired by Wolfe Video during the festival, received two honors: Grand Jury Award for Outstanding Screenwriting and Grand Jury Award for Outstanding U.S. Dramatic Feature Film. Another award recipient, Born This Way, follows brave LGBT people in Cameroon who are risking their lives to build acceptance in their country.
