Winners for the New York Film Critics Circle awards were announced today, and among those recognized were the French, lesbian coming-of-age story Blue is the Warmest Color for Best Foreign Language Film and Jared Leto in Dallas Buyers Club for Best Supporting Actor. Leto has recieved rave reviews for his role in the film as Rayon, a transgender woman lving with AIDS in 1980s Texas. You can see the full list of winners on Deadline here.
As a Major League Baseball umpire for the past 29 seasons, Dale Scott has worked three World Series, three All-Star Games, two no-hitters and numerous playoff games. He is also the first out active male official in the MLB, NBA, NHL, or NFL, and the first Major League Baseball umpire to publicly say he is gay while active.
